Paris Hilton and Carter Reum Welcome Their First Child Together
Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum have welcomed their first child together into the world.[0] The announcement was made on the socialite’s Instagram page on Tuesday, where she shared a sweet photo of a baby’s hand gripping onto her thumb with the caption “You are already loved beyond words.”[1] The couple tied the knot in a three-day ceremony in November 2021, and were featured in a show documenting the lead-up to their wedding on Peacock’s Paris in Love.[2]
In an exclusive interview with People, the new mom revealed that it had been her dream to become a mother, and that she and Reum had been planning to start a family for a while.[3] “We talk about it all the time and just planning our babies’ names and all of that. So, I’m really excited just to move on to the next step of my life and finally just have, like, a real life. Because I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life,” she said.[4]
In April 2022, Hilton shared that she had undergone an egg extraction procedure and that they had been doing IVF. “So, I can pick twins if I like,” she said.[5] She also revealed that she and Reum wanted to have “three or four” kids in total.[6]
Reum, who is an author, entrepreneur, and the founder of the venture capital firm M13, has an older daughter from a previous relationship.[0]
The post announcing the new arrival was filled with congratulatory messages from famous friends including Kim Kardashian, Lindsay Lohan, Chrissy Teigen, Demi Lovato, and Miranda Kerr.[7]
The experience of becoming a parent has been different for Hilton, but she is obviously very excited to start this new chapter of her life. “I’m really excited to just move on for the next step of my life and finally just have, like, a real life.[4] I really do believe that having a family and having children is the meaning of life.[4] I haven’t got to experience that yet because I don’t feel that anyone really deserved that love from me and now I’ve finally found the person who does, so I cannot wait for that next step.[8]
