Amy Robach Blindsided by T.J. Holmes’ Alleged Office Romances
Amy Robach was reportedly “blindsided” by the revelation of Good Morning America co-anchor T.J. Holmes’ past office romances when news first broke of the pair’s own workplace romance in December 2022.[0] An insider told The Sun that Robach had no idea the scope of Holmes’ alleged past, nor did she expect it to blow up into a scandal.
The two were first spotted getting cozy outside of the Good Morning America studio while married to other people in November 2022 and according to another source, Holmes had been “upfront” about his relationships with Robach when it began.[1] Since then, the pair have been at the center of an internal investigation by ABC, though reports suggest Robach may face fewer repercussions than Holmes.[2]
The Daily Mail first published photos of the couple together throughout November, with the headline “From co-stars to lovers: GMA anchors Amy Robach, 49, and T.J. Holmes, 45, romance is revealed — as the two married co-hosts are seen cozying up at NYC bar, spending a romantic weekend away upstate, and holding hands in an Uber.”[3]
The couple were then seen together for the first time since being taken off the air on December 15, 2022, leaving Holmes’ apartment for lunch at the Capital Grille.[3] They walked arm in arm in the cold, closer together than during those previous lunches, before their relationship became public.[3]
It was then revealed this week that Holmes had once had an affair with a script supervisor while working on GMA, reportedly having sex with his much younger coworker in his office.[4] An insider told The Daily Mail that Holmes “was a predator who took full advantage of his position, and he was reckless.”[0]
Most recently, Robach was reportedly left shocked by the volume of Holmes’ past office affairs.[5] The source told The Sun that Robach had no idea the turmoil their reported workplace romance would cause and feels like “collateral damage.”[6]
It remains to be seen what the ultimate outcome of the ABC investigation will be, though Holmes and Robach were last seen at a traditional old Irish pub in January, sitting in a small enclosed room typically found at such establishments, known as a “snug”, where patrons can drink away from public view.[7]
